"North State Radiology is excited to be a founding member of our region’s Health Information Exchange. We believe that clinical interoperability improves patient care. In the field of Radiology, medical information sharing is a way to cut down on unnecessary and repetitive scanning of patients. Increased access to patient health information and improved communication between healthcare providers will benefit the entire community.

We are also proud to have been in position to be the first member organization to contribute data to the HIE. Our participation demonstrates our commitment to being good stewards of our regional healthcare community, and we are contributing to the continuum of care for patients. North State Radiology will continue as an active member of the HIE and we are excited at the prospect of joining with other healthcare organizations to help increase access to health information in the North State. The end result will be a more complete picture of our patients’ medical histories which will ultimately lead to better patient care."
